Our club now has 18 members – much to our delight - and everyone is getting more and more enthusiastic, enjoying their bowls and improving by the minute. Now that we have finished the match season, there is a feeling of relief in the air and because of the lack of pressure the practice sessions are really producing some great results, fine shots and a good stance!
Although we have not had formal notification yet, we believe we ended up in seventh position this season. Naturally, we would like to be a bit higher up in the league, but we have struggled to put out a strong team for each match, mainly due to lack of members and members being on holiday. Now that our numbers are up, we hope to improve even more.
As we go to press I have found out that we finished the season in 6th position! Well done everybody.

APRIL 2010
(Our AGM will be held on Monday 19th April at 7.00 pm. Bowls practice as usual afterwards. I hope all members will make the effort to attend.)
After all the snow, we now have rain, rain and more rain. Still it is a little bit warmer!
Our luck has held and at the end of this season we have finished in 6th position, which we are well pleased with, as we have struggled to get a team together for some of the matches.
All the 'new' members are new no longer and their games are improving all the time. We hope to arrange a few 'friendly' matches during the summer to keep us in good practice for the next season. The South Pembrokeshire Short Mat Bowls Association Dinner is on Friday 23 April 2010 at the Nant y Ffin Motel and we look forward to a very pleasant evening with all our friends.
We are always on the lookout for new members, so please come and join us - you will be given a warm welcome. Just get down to Llanteg Short Mat Bowls Club at Llanteg Village Hall on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7.00 pm for a downright good evening with us. We look forward to seeing you.
